Atonement :: Metamorphosis
The winter solstice marks a transition to lighter days and presents a chance to reflect and atone, before the earth begins to tilt back on its axis.
This annual ceremony will feature poetry readings by Arihia Latham, Tim Grgec, and Hannah Mettner; live music; and a series of open fires used to bake ceramics in, to mark the date (and keep you warm!)
If you would like to create a ceramic object for this event, a workshop is being held by artist Annaliese Rosa – you can sign up for that here.

NB: for safety reasons, the fire component of this event can only proceed in low winds. Please watch this space on the night for updates (and our Facebook and Instagram pages). If the weather is too bad, we will move to Hashigo Zake.
Duration: 60 minutes.
