Alistair is best known as a player, composer, and researcher of ngā taonga puoro with a performance background that enables him to provide a sensitivity that suits the intimate nature of these remarkable instruments. His first instrument is guitar, and he has a keen understanding of electroacoustic music, making him an ideal Harmonic Tree performer.
